SHERIDAN - Memorial services for Pearl Lucas, 95, will be conducted at 2 p.m., today, Aug. 19, at the Sheridan Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chuck Lucas officiating.

She died Aug. 16, 2004, at Sheridan Manor.

Born March 9, 1909, in Texas, she was the daughter of Thomas and Sena (Armstrong) Wright. Her family moved to Wyoming in 1919 and she graduated from Sheridan High School, class of 1927.

On May 23, 1936, in Billings, Mont., she married Joseph Lucas. During WW II, they moved to California and she worked in the defense industry. They returned to Sheridan in the 1960s and she got a position as manager of Ilene's Dress Shop. She also worked as a clerk at other stores until her retirement.

Her interests included a passion for reading, raising flowers, and visiting with friends. She was a member of the Sheridan Wesleyan Church and Eastern Star.

Survivors include her niece and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
