Former Sheridan resident Agnes K. Kochel, 93, died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Tucson, Ariz.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Kane Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Stolcis officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Kochel was born May 17, 1909, in Sheridan to Peter J. and Mary (Fieolek) Kumor. The family homesteaded on the Dow Prong of Dutch Creek, and she attended the Upper Dutch Creek School and Sheridan High School.

She went to work for Eatons' Dude Ranch in June 1924.  She married Reid Kochel of Miles City, Mont., Oct. 20, 1931, and they both worked for Eatons' ranch in Wolf for many years.  They also worked on the Rimrock Ranch in Arizona and the Bar Eleven horse ranch at Echeta.

She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Tucson Cowbells.

She enjoyed the warm climate in Tucson, her home and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Reid of Tucson; and several nieces and nephews.
