LODGE GRASS, Mont. - No services are planned for Lodge Grass resident Ralph M. Hults, 93, who died March 20, 2003.  Cremation has taken place, under the direction of Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan.

He was born Oct. 22, 1909, in Sheridan County, the son of Edgar F. and Jessie (Irwin) Hults; and was raised and educated in Sheridan.

Following high school, he co-owned the Hults Brothers Ranch in Lodge Grass with his brother, "Red," and was known as a dedicated stockman.

He played softball with the Decker League and loved animals.

Survivors include his niece, Patricia Breen, and her husband, Bill, of Lodge Grass; and nephew, Dr. Richard Hults of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and an infant; two sisters, Roberta McDaniel and Margaret Shreve; a sister-in-law; and a brother-in-law.
