OBITURIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - June 12, 2001

SHERIDAN - Graveside services will be held for 92-year-old Sheridan resident Pauline E. Dryden at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Masonic No. 8 Section.  The Rev. Douglas Goodwin will officiate.

Visitation will take place today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Champion-Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan.

She died June 9, 2001, in Ranchester.

Born July 6, 1908, in Illinois to Henry and Bessie (Hanna) Roe, the family came to Billings, Mont., when she was 10 years old.  Later they moved to Sheridan, and she graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Percy Dryden on June 2, 1926,in Sheridan.

Musically inclined, she played piano in small bands in Sheridan for many years, as well as playing organ for weddings, funerals and at the First Christian Church, where she was a member.  She also belonged to Eastern Star.

Survivors include her companion, Rudy Schilling of Ranchester; on son, Gerald Dryden; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974, as well as a son, Bobby Gene, sisters Ernestine Lowther and Lola Smith and her step-sister Viola Soloman.

Memorials may benefit the First Christian Church.
