OBITUARTIES - THE SHERIDAN PRESS - January 18, 2001

Lois V. Richardson, 93, of Sheridan died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Chapel Church in Story with the Rev. Philip Wilson officiating.  Interment of cremains will be later in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Masonic section.

Mrs. Richardson was born Sept. 29, 1907, in Sheridan to George and Effie (Whitmire) Donaldson.

She grew up and graduated high school in Sheridan.  She attended the University of Wyoming and taught school for a short time.  She married Fred L. Richardson Sr. in the late 1920s in Sheridan, where she lived most of her life.  Mr. Richardson died in 1977.

She spent many hours in her garden tending her flowers and enjoyed when her friends came to see them.  She enjoyed crocheting, music and playing the piano.  She loved art and painting.

She was preceded in death by one son, L. Ross Richardson.

Survivors include two sons, Fred of Belmont, Calif., and Frank of Sheridan; a half-sister, Velma Harnish of Sheridan; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
