George Edward WREN 1907 - 1976 SHS 1926

SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Services for George Edward Wren, 68, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Champions Funeral Home, the Rev. Ray Clark officiating.

Masonic graveside services will be conducted in Sheridan Cemetery.

Mr. Wren died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1976, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 3, 1907, in Sheridan, the son of Jacob and Lillian Wren.

He was a graduate of Colorado State University.

On June 18, 1933, he married Norma McGovern in Sheridan. The made their home in Burbank, Calif. for 25 years.

He was a merchant in Wyola, Mont. For three years.

In 1956, he returned to Sheridan where he was employed as an interviewer with the Wyoming State Employment Services until his recent illness.

Mr. Wren was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, the Masonic Lodge, York Rite Bodies and Kalif Shrine.

Survivors include the widow; a son, G. Edward of La Canada, Calif.; two sisters, Florence Munn of Atlanta, Ga. and Margaret Shackelford of Sheridan; and three grandchildren.
