Willis G. ZINGG 1907 - 1976 SHS 1922

SHERIDAN, Wyo – Services for Willis G. Zingg, 71, formerly of Sheridan, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Champion’s Funeral Home, the Elk’s Lodge officiating. Burial will be in Elk’s Memorial Section of Sheridan Cemetery.

Mr. Zingg died Friday, May 28, 1976, in San Francisco, Calif.

He was born Sept. 5, 1904, in Newmarket, Iowa, the son of Mr. & Mrs John Zingg. In 1907, the family moved to Sheridan and he graduated from Sheridan High School and the University of Wyoming.

He was in the furniture business with his father and later worked for Brouillettes, Inc. In 1951, he moved to San Francisco, where he was co-owner of the Armstrong Carpet and Linoleum Co., retiring in 1970.

On June 25, 1960, he married Lee Frisell in San Francisco.

He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, Kaliff Shrine, Elk’s Lodge of Sheridan and the Park Presidio Optomist Club of San Francisco.

Survivors include the widow, of San Francisco; and a sister, Grace Ewoldsen of Sheridan.
