Anna Faye ROWLAND (Piz) 1993 - 2016 SHS 2011

March 31, 1993 - July 26, 2016

Anna Faye Rowland (Piz), was 23 when she left this world as a result of an automobile accident on the Decker highway.

She was born on March 31, 1993, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to her parents, Randy Rowland and Connie Hepp Morgan, and she never slowed down. She was bold and courageous, her smile infectious, and she was loved by all. Anna was an avid reader who was often found sitting on top of the family playhouse engrossed in a book. Her spirit was adventurous, and her imagination wild and vivid. She could dream up something out of nothing. Her wit was keen and her tongue quick; she was always happy and her laughter was infectious. She cherished the outdoors and adventures, including camping, rock climbing, horseback riding, skiing and canoeing. She was a tough, fierce, and passionate daughter, sibling, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend who was always looking for life's next adventure!! She was passionate about spending time with friends and family, making it a priority to not miss those special moments.

Anna was active in Soccer, FFA, 4H and the Spanish Club at Sheridan High School where she graduated in 2011. She graduated from Central Wyoming College in Riverton with two degrees; an AA in Outdoor Education and Leadership and an AAS in Outdoor Recreation and Business. College for Anna wasn't books and lectures, it was Avalanche Training, trekking, canoeing, and the NOLS course in Alaska.

During college she traveled to Maine where she worked at an all girls summer camp and it was there she began to realize her love for working with youth. She made friends everywhere she went, and her passing left its mark on everyone she met in this world.

Anna moved to Seattle for two years to work as a Behavior Educator with autistic children. Her patience was saint-like, and the deep love, respect and caring she was able to show her kids was remarkable to all those who worked with her. Anna planned to return to school and attend the University of Wyoming to complete a bachelor's degree.

Anna is survived by her parents Dan and Connie Morgan, and Randy and Teri Rowland all of Sheridan, great grandmother Josie Schreibeis, grandparents, Alice Hepp, Ralph and Norie Rowland, and Jo Lippold, siblings Trenton and Zane Rowland, Rachael and (Lance) Anderson, Chandler House, Ian and Erin Henry, her nieces and nephew; Lanae, Whitley, Amelia, and Braeya, and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her life was one adventure to the next. Her free and generous spirit, fiery character, infectious laughter and love of life will be forever missed by everyone, as will her precious smile and her unique ability to light up a room.

A memorial scholarship fund has been set up in Anna's name. Donations may be made to the Anna Rowland Memorial Scholarship for Behavioral Educators at Bank of the West, 2 North Main St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
