Rebecca Frances Notti, 18, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in an accident that took place on her family’s ranch near Otter, Montana.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan, Wy. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. A reception for family and friends will take place at the church following the memorial.

“Becca” was born on August 18, 1990, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Jae and Suzie (Stevens) Notti. She was a kind and loving child who grew into a beautiful young woman both inside and out. She was a recent graduate of Sheridan High School, where she was a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, FFA, Chaps, National Honor Society, and Spanish Club.

She had completed her freshman year of college at Stephen’s College in Columbia, Missouri, where she was a member of Alpha Lamba Delta and was also on the Dean’s List. Her love of young children had led her to pursue a major in Elementary Education. She was to attend Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, this fall.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, riding her horses, snowboarding, tennis, and spending time with family and friends.

She was an active participant in 4-H for many years, showing various horses and her beloved dog, Gus.

Her generous spirit was witnessed at 13 when she began sending monthly donations to Compassion in Africa to help needy kids.

Above all, her most treasured time was spent with her boyfriend, Jarad Koltiska. They enjoyed many great times together, and she will always have a place in his heart.

She leaves behind many family members, including her parents, Jae and Suzie, her sister Sarah Notti, grandparents Ben Notti and Darlene Notti, and Marc and Nan Stevens, great-grandmother Mary VanPrice and boyfriend, Jarad Koltiska; honorary grandmother, Lois Hoover; and close family friend Jaylene (Dade) Allison. She is also survived by aunts and uncles Bill (Jan) Stevens, Cynthia (Hal) Gratwohl, Becky (Steve) Hutton, Cheri Notti, Nadine (Dave) Yarwood, Leigh (Kyle) Deaton, and Janine (Cameron) Freih and cousins Heather, Jennifer and Megan Stevens, Amber, Nick (Kandiss) and Hunter Gratwohl, Levi Bryan, Nycole and Ashleigh Pankratz, Whitney (Billy) Cross, Drew and Dani Yarwood, and Alexander and Clayton Freih.

Rebecca, you were our little angel, and you will be missed greatly by all.

BIRNEY WOMAN KILLED IN FOUR-WHEELER ACCIDENT

Rebecca Notti, 18, of Birney, Mont., was found dead by her parents about 8 p.m. Tuesday following a fourwheeler accident in Big Horn County, Mont., according to the Rosebud County sheriff ’s office.

Notti graduated from Sheridan High School in 2008.

Notti had been spraying weeds on a four-wheeler on her parents’ ranch, part of which is in Big Horn County, when she apparently went down a hill and rolled the vehicle.

According to the sheriff ’s office, Notti was dead at the scene.

Her parents brought her back to the ranch house in Rosebud County, where they called the sheriff ’s office.

The time of the accident is unknown.

Birney is approximately 60 miles northeast of Sheridan.
