Brian W. FLACK 1983 - 2004 SHS 2001

Brian Wesley Flack, 21, of Sheridan died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Billings.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11 a.am. Saturday at Sheridan Junior High School with Pastor Scott Lee officiating.

Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home.

Mr. Flack was born Feb. 6, 1983, in Sheridan to Mike and Tina (Tissino) Flack. He attended Sheridan schools and was a 2001 graduate of Sheridan High School.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his passion was motocross. He won several awards as a pro rider and was sponsored by High Tech Motors of Billings.

He was a member of the High Plains Motor Cross Association and Holy Name Catholic Church.

Survivors include parents and stepparents, Mike and Barbie Flack of Big Horn and Tina Flack and Ken Decker of Sheridan; a brother, Christian "Chris" Flack of Sheridan; grandparents Hank and Mary Kusel and Orval and Florence Flack, all of Sheridan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Brian Flack Motocross Memorial Fund in care of Karen Green, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan WY 82801.

Motorcycle accident victim dies

Brian W. Flack, 21, of Sheridan died Wednesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings after suffering massive head injuries in a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon.

Sheridan County Sheriff Dave Hofmeier said Flack was injured in a "freak accident" at 5:17 p.m. at the motorcycle race track when Flack's motorcycle "landed wrong" after going over a jump on the course.

Flack was flipped over the handlebars.

Hofmeier said Flack was wearing "all the protective gear" including a helmet.

"He was doing the same thing he had always done," the sheriff added. "It was just a freak accident."

Hofmeier added, "My heart goes out to his family and friends."
